You would think ...

You would think that in a world where teachers are busted for sexual misconduct almost daily, such a thing as this would never happen: In Mascoutah, Illinois, a suburb of St. Louis, an eighth grade girl was given two days of detention for hugging friends goodbye after school. She had been previously notified of this policy when she was caught hugging a student at a football game. The superintendent said that the zero tolerance policy "helps prevent misunderstandings and unwelcome expressions of affection."

There's no suggestion that this was any sort of sexual conduct. There's no allegation that the greeting was unwelcome. Are these people insane?

Story is here.

Next time, use a condom

This gentleman, according to court records, was fooling around with two of his students. He got one of them pregnant, and took her to get an abortion. He even paid $400 of the total $500 bill. What a great guy. This story has images of the girl's diary entries. Wow!

Text me ;-)

Illinois math teacher busted with student

Fred Fisher, a math teacher and coach in Paris, Illinois, is accused of a consensual sexual relationship with a 17 year old student. According to police, "The age of consent in the state of Illinois for sexual contact is 17, but since Mr. Fischer held a position of authority over this 17-year-old female, the age of consent becomes 18." Strange law. The moral of this story, as always, is "Keep your hands out of the cookie jar."
