A Claremont High School English teacher was arrested last week on suspicion of shoplifting from a local Vons supermarket.
Police Capt. Gary Jenkins said Jane Purcell, 52, brought shopping bags with her to the Base Line Road store, then filled them with $115 worth of merchandise before walking out
