A female Brevard County school teacher has been placed on administrative leave while authorities investigate claims that she had an inappropriate relationship with a male student, according to a school official.
Jennifer Leigh-Manuell, a second-year middle school science teacher at Edgewood Junior-Senior High School in Merritt Island, has not been arrested or charged, but the Brevard County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into the allegations.
Details of the alleged misconduct are not known. It's also not known how the allegations surfaced.
