Day care teacher pleads guilty in abuse case
Hours before jury selection was to begin in his molestation trial, a former day care teacher pleaded guilty Friday morning to fondling several pre-kindergarten girls while they slept in his classroom.
Investigators believe that the teacher targeted 4- and 5-year-old girls in his class at the Children's Palace Christian Learning Center, 6637 Oak Lawn Drive in Watauga, from January 2005 until August.
After pleading guilty in a Fort Worth courtroom, Carl Mason Jr., 22, of Haltom City was sentenced to 40 years in prison
