I usually stick to stories about American teachers. But I couldn't resist this one, from Vietnam. Le Nguyen To Nhan, an arts teacher at a private academy, sent a syringe home in the backpack of a 3rd grade student. Then, he started leaving messages on her cell phone, indicating he would infect her child with HIV if she didn't deposit VND50 million, about $3,125, into his bank account. If only teachers were paid better, none of this would have happened. Enjoy his story
here.
