Teacher Accused In Sex Assault Case Jailed For Violating Bond

An assistant band teacher at Bryant High School who faces four counts of felony sexual assault involving a student has been arrested for violating conditions of his bond, police said.

Joseph Bresnahan, 25, of Bryant had been free on a $100,000 bond with the conditions that he not contact his accuser or have unsupervised contact with any minor child. He was arrested and jailed Friday for violating those terms, Prosecutor Ken Casady said.

The Bryant Police Department reportedly learned that Bresnahan was communicating with Bryant students, and the department asked the prosecutor to revoke Bresnahan's pretrial release, Casady said.
