Guilty

Erie County teacher pleads in sex with student case

An Erie County female teacher accused of having sex with a tenth-grade boy in the summer of 2005 at her home pleaded guilty.

Robin Lee Hecker pleaded guilty today in Erie County Court to one consolidated count of corruption of a minor, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in state prison. By pleading guilty, Hecker took responsibility for the conduct alleged in all five counts.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office dropped four corruption counts as part of the deal.

Hecker, who is from Albion, resigned from the Northwestern School District in January. She must surrender her teaching license.

Hecker was a tenth-grade English teacher when she first met the teen in her class in 2005. Police say Hecker admitted she had at least five sexual encounters with the him.
