Kevin Goddu, 45, of Chelmsford faces 10 to 20 years in prison and $4,000 fines for each of the 14 counts. He also was indicted on two sexual assault charges, each carrying sentences of up to one year in prison and $2,000 in fines.
The charges stem from a single incident on the afternoon of Feb. 27, when Goddu allegedly raped the girl at a location on Sullivan Road in Hudson.
The indictments charge that Goddu used force and violence to get the victim to engage in sexual acts and intercourse by "...hitting her in the head and saying words to the effect of 'what's wrong with you?'" They also charge that the then-teacher used his position of authority to coerce her into engaging in the acts with him.
"We charged three different ways that he went against the statute," Assistant County Attorney Patricia LaFrance said.
The documents claim the girl did not give consent and said she was scared and didn't want to do it.
