Former Teacher Gets Probation In Drug Case


A former elementary school teacher who was arrested five times over a two-year period was sentenced to probation Monday in Grand Junction.

According to the Daily Sentinel, Tammie Lee Reed was given four years probation, 21 months of work release, 100 hours of community service and must undergo mandatory drug treatment. The sentence is part of a plea agreement in which several felony counts were dismissed.

Tammie Liberty Lee, 42, pleaded guilty to possession of more than 1 gram of methamphetamine, and theft from a check-cashing business
