A teacher broke down in tears after being cleared of having an affair with her 15-year-old pupil.
Jenine Saville-King, 29, was accused of having a relationship with the boy who was her pupil at a school in Watford.

Married Mrs Saville-King from Hook in Hampshire, had denied sexual activity with a child, then aged 15, and had also denied abuse of trust.

She wept as the jury at St Albans Crown Court on Wednesday delivered not guilty verdicts.

It had been alleged that Mrs Saville-King began an affair with the boy in 2004 and that they had sex after his 16th birthday.

Giving evidence Mrs Saville-King said she had never had sex with him although she admitted sending him e-mails in which she said she loved and missed him.

Update 2: Jenine Saville-King

Teacher 'wanted intimate details'

A married teacher accused of having an affair with one of her pupils asked the boy's girlfriend "intimate" questions, St Alban's Crown Court has been told.

Jenine Saville-King, 29, from Hook in Hampshire, denies having sex with a child and abuse of trust.

It is alleged she was sleeping with the boy when he was aged 15 and 16, while she was a teacher in Watford, Herts.

The boy's girlfriend told the court Mrs Saville-King seemed "over-interested" in "physical details" about him.

'Exchanged messages'

The girl, who was 14 at the time of the alleged conversation, said: "Teachers don't ask about your relationships.

"She seemed to ask a lot of questions."

Prosecutors say Mrs Saville-King continued the affair with the boy after she became pregnant by her husband, Paul, 37, and gave birth to a son.

The girl, who is now 17, said there were rumours at the school about Mrs Saville-King's relationship with the boy and about the boy being the father of the child.

The girl said she logged on to an instant messenger website using the boy's identity and sent messages to Mrs Saville-King.

The girl said she pretended to be the boy and wrote "I love you".

She told the court that Mrs Saville-King had messaged back, writing: "I love you too, you know that don't you?".

Jenine Saville-King

Seeing as this story is drawing me massive amounts of traffic, heres an update:

Teacher made 'impact', court told

A teacher accused of having an affair with a pupil made "quite an impact" when she began work at the school, St Albans Crown Court has heard.
Jenine Saville-King was described as being "new and young" and could be approached on a friendly basis.

The comments were made by the deputy head teacher of the pupil's school.

Mrs Saville-King, 29, formerly of St Albans, Hertfordshire, but now living in Hampshire, denies sexual activity with the boy when he was 15 in 2004.

The deputy head teacher told St Albans Crown Court how he carried out an investigation into the relationship between Mrs Saville-King and the teenager.

'Enough evidence'

Giving evidence on Monday, he said that during the course of the investigation, he twice interviewed Mrs Saville-King along with a pupil, who had allegedly found a photograph of Mrs Saville-King and the boy.

He said he never interviewed the boy himself and told the jury "I felt I had enough evidence to draw the conclusions I needed to."

The deputy head then told the court how, as part of his investigation, he interviewed Mrs Saville-King on 15 September 2005.

He said she told him how, in her early dealings with the boy, he would approach her often with his girlfriend, who was also a pupil at the school.

'Shocked at arrival'

"I think what happened was that the boy began to approach her more as an individual and not include his girlfriend," he said.

The deputy head said Mrs Saville-King then told him how, on 18 August 2005, not long after she had given birth to her first child, the boy turned up at her home in St Albans, having been to the school earlier to collect his GCSE exam results.

"She was very surprised and shocked at his arrival.

"He then wanted to show her a new phone which took pictures and he asked her to pose for a picture with him."

The case continues.

While Pregnant

Married teacher aged 29 'seduced 15-year-old pupil'

A married teacher carried on a passionate affair with one of her pupils while she was pregnant with her husband's child, a court has heard.
Jenine Saville-King, 29, allegedly began the year-long relationship with the boy when he was 15.

She was "infatuated" with him, the court was told, and they met for sex in her home, hotels and even at his mother's house.

When the boy tried to end it, she is said to have confronted him at a supermarket where he was

working and begged: "Tell me it's all over to my face and I'll leave you alone."
