Former teacher arrested in kidnapping, rape of boy

A former elementary school teacher has been charged with kidnapping a 10-year-old student and is suspected of raping him multiple times.

Jennifer Rice, 37, was arrested Saturday and booked into the Pierce County Jail for investigation of kidnapping, five counts of first-degree child rape, and four counts of child molestation.

On Monday she pleaded not guilty in Pierce County Superior Court to a charge of kidnapping with sexual motivation, and prosecutors said more charges could follow.

Sheriff spokesman Ed Troyer said Rice was working as a contract teacher at McKinley Elementary School earlier this year and the alleged victim was a student in her class.

The boy's father told investigators that until about one month ago, Rice had come to their house several times to take the boy to movies, and often talked to him online. The father was concerned about the nature of the relationship and told the woman not to come back, Troyer said.

On Saturday the man woke up and discovered that his son was not home and his bed had been made to look like he was sleeping.

KHS teacher suspended over sex allegations

A popular Kearny High School English teacher has been suspended with pay, after school officials say a student told them he had some sort of sexual encounter with the teacher, Superintendent of Schools Robert Mooney said.

Celeste Adamski, 27 — whose maiden name is Passos — has taught at the high school for three years, but won’t get to see the school year out after the allegations prompted her immediate suspension. Mooney says the suspension in no way reflects assumption of guilt, but allows for school and police officials to properly investigate the matter without interference.

“We wouldn’t suspend unless there was a confirmed allegation,” Mooney said. “And in this case, there was.”

Because there is an ongoing investigation, Mooney could only say that the allegation was made by a student at Kearny High School, and that the allegation is “serious” in nature.

Rumors apparently began circulating at Kearny High School early last week about Mrs. Adamski’s possible downfall, according to a student at Kearny High, who like most students interviewed for this story, asked not to be identified by name.

She Met Him On The Playground

Teacher's Aide Pleads Guilty to Sexual Conduct with Minor

A teacher's aide has plead guilty to attempted sexual conduct with a minor.
Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas says that 27-year-old Alma Hernandez met her 14-year-old male victim on the playground at Andalucia Middle School, then had sex with the boy in her car last year.

Police were called after the victim's family found out.

As part of a plea agreement, Hernandez will be sentenced to at least 10 years in prison on July 25.

Hernandez was a teacher's assistant at the school at 47th Avenue and Campbell, but the boy was not one of her students.

Marriage

Former teacher marries teen student

A 40-year-old high school science teacher and cross country coach has resigned his position and married a 16-year-old student.

Brenton Wuchae coached Windy Hager at South Brunswick High School, where she recently completed her sophomore year as one of the school's top runners. He also lives less than two miles away from the Hagers' home on Oak Island.

Wuchae married Hager in Brunswick County on Monday, according to a marriage license.

Hager's parents, Dennis and Betty Hager, said they did all they could to keep the couple apart after noticing a deeper-than-usual friendship forming between them. The parents said they tried to intervene by talking to the coach, going to school officials, pleading with police and sheriff's office detectives, even other teachers and students at South Brunswick.

But the Hagers say they reluctantly signed a consent form allowing their daughter to marry her coach.

At Home & In The Classroom

Teacher charged with rape, sodomy

A Norman North High School science teacher who also coached girls’ basketball was formerly charged Wednesday in connection with an alleged sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student in April and May.

Vicky Lynn Lewallen, 44, Norman, was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of first-degree rape.

Lewallen was arraigned Wednesday morning and released on personal recognizance bond by Special District Judge Rod Ring.

“The charges stemmed from allegations from the victim in the case disclosing the relationship and information we had regarding them being caught in the act at school and the investigation that followed,” said Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn.

According to court documents, the 16-year-old student, when interviewed, told forensic investigators the two had engaged in sexual acts in the bedroom of her home, the bedroom and other areas of the teacher’s home and in the classroom. School officials reported catching the pair in Lewallen’s classroom the morning of May 4, by themselves, with the lights off and the door locked. Another teacher reported seeing Lewallen and the girl “spending an unusual amount of time together” during overtime and lunch periods.

Consentual

A New Jersey Health and Physical Education high school teacher was arrested Friday on charges of first degree aggravated sexual assault of a minor. 28-Year old Erica Umosella is accused of having a consensual sexual affair with a 17- year old female student. Umosella was released on $50,000 bail Wednesday night.

Consent
Although the teacher and student may have allegedly considered the sex consensual, the law does not allow for sexual consent between a teacher and minor student.

A Coach and Teacher
Ms. Umosella was a teacher and coach of the seventeen-year old girl in question at the Kingsway Regional High School in Glassboro, New Jersey. According to police, the alleged victim is a senior at the high school, and is a member of the field hockey team that Ms. Umosella coached. Ms. Umosella was suspended from teaching and coaching this past Thursday.

Xylophone

A British science teacher had a year-long affair with one of his pupils after having sex with her in a school store cupboard, a court has heard.

Michael Taylor, now a principal, began a secret relationship with the teenager days after she turned 15, the jury was told.

They allegedly met once a week for "music practice" during which the girl performed sex acts on him.

She was told to keep playing the xylophone during the incidents so anyone passing the classroom would not disturb them, the court heard.

Leicester crown court was told the teacher liked to be called "Mr Taylor" during sex, telling the girl: "You've got detention with me at the same time next week."

"She bore him a son"

Christine Scarlett, the former substitute teacher whose affair with a special-education student attracted national attention, has avoided a potentially salacious trial set to begin Monday.

Scarlett, 40, pleaded guilty Friday to five felony charges related to her seduction of Steven Bradigan, who was the 17-year-old captain of the Strongsville High School football team when the relationship began in 2002. She bore him a son the next year.

Their affair was exposed last year after Bradigan, who has a hearing problem and a learning deficiency, sued Scarlett and the Strongsville School District, accusing her of taking advantage of his youth and disability and district officials of failing to report her to police. A Cuyahoga County Common Pleas judge threw out the case, which is now on appeal.

Long one

This is kinda long but Im going to post most of it as an example of what parents doing their job can accomplish:

Teacher charged with sex assault of two of his 9th-grade students

A Bucks County middle school teacher has been charged with sexually assaulting two of his ninth-grade students after propositioning the girls over the Internet and on their cell phones.

Jeffrey Anderson, 23, of Northeast Philadelphia, was arrested Monday night and charged with crimes including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, and criminal use of communications devices.

Anderson had been the building substitute at Tohickon Middle School in Plumstead Township. Detectives pulled him out of his classroom Monday for questioning, and he provided a 14-page confession, court records say.

Anderson was fired immediately by the Central Bucks School District, where the La Salle University graduate had worked since 2005.

According to court records, Anderson admitted he kissed, fondled and digitally penetrated the girls, ages 15 and 14, inside the 15-year-old's house on a recent Saturday afternoon. He also engaged in oral sex with the younger girl during the April 28 meeting, the records say.

If convicted of the most serious crimes, Anderson faces a mandatory minimum five years in state prison. He is being held in Bucks County prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.

The girls' parents had been alerted by computer monitoring software that their daughters had been communicating with the teacher via instant messaging and Facebook.com personal Web sites, District Attorney Diane Gibbons said. They confronted the girls, who admitted engaging in sexual acts with Anderson, a probable-cause affidavit said.

Both girls had been in Anderson's class, and had been messaging him outside of school for about a month. In some exchanges, Anderson told the girls he wanted to have sex with them, the affidavit says, and recently met with them in a Tohickon classroom and kissed them.

In an April 22 Facebook posting, Anderson pleaded with the girls to keep things quiet, the affidavit says.

"PLEASE . . . nothing that is said or done between the three of us can EVER be repeated to anyone else!!!" the message said. "Not your best friend, your diary, or any of those girls at school!! I could get fired, never become a teacher again. or go to jail. . ."

Five days later, after an explicit proposition to the girls on Facebook, Anderson allegedly added: "Hah . . . im so going to hell . . . I can't believe I hooked up with two 9th graders!!"

On Saturday, April 28, the affidavit says, Anderson was text-messaging the girls on his cell phone when he learned the 15-year-old's parents would be away for the day. At about 4 p.m., he parked his vehicle down the block from the girl's house and met both girls inside, where they engaged in sexual acts.

A few days later, Anderson met the 14-year-old inside a Tohickon chorus room and kissed her, the affidavit said.

The parents of the girls had installed on the girls' computers software called IamBigBrother. It gives parents the ability to capture and monitor incoming and outgoing e-mail, as well as Web sites visited, passwords entered, and basically everything typed, both online and offline. Gibbons said that the girls knew their parents were using this software.
